A Committee Formed to Investigate Brick's Response to the Recent Blizzard

The Brick Patch article, Committee Will Investigate Brick's Blizzard Response, discloses that the township council has created a committee charged with the responsibility to investigate reactions to the recent blizzard. It will also suggest measures leading to improvements in the future. The committee will be headed by Councilman Michael Thulen.

The final town council meeting of the year was held on Friday, December 31st and was more highly attended and more contentious than usual. Town residents were highly critical of the township's snow removal efforts. Mayor Acropolis explained that during the storm disabled vehicles amounted to four fire trucks, 11 ambulances and 17 township-owned trucks. However, he was hopeful that the township could be reimbursed for as much as 75 percent of expenses incurred if New Jersey is declared a disaster area by the federal government.
